Two ways to use the forecast

Kestrel publishes a calibrated forecast for every major mining permit in North American coverage. The weekly report puts that forecast in front of you on a recurring schedule. The analyst dashboard, in development, lets your team work with the forecasts and the underlying decisions directly.

Mining permit forecasting: weekly report.

Every week, a written read on what moved in mining permitting and what it means for the forecast on each project in coverage. The current watchlist, the decisions that landed, and the named factors that have widened or narrowed the range. Ontario first, expanding as coverage grows.

Subscribers see the methodology develop in public and shape what the paid tier looks like at launch, while the model is calibrated against enough historical decisions to be defensible.

Mining permit forecasting: analyst dashboard.

A working surface for analysts who use the forecast day to day. Track a custom set of permits, see the forecast and the named factors behind it, export plots into your own decks and memos, and get an email when something material changes.

In development. The dashboard opens once the weekly report has built a public track record worth working from.

Annual

Annual scorecard.

Once a year, an honest accounting: every forecast issued in the prior twelve months, scored against the decision the regulator actually rendered. Calibration plots, miss decompositions, and a frank discussion of where the model was right, where it was wrong, and why.
